Founder, Inspire New HomesA professional dedicated to the affordable housing sector, Asha Agarwal has 20 years’ experience in the sector, working at some of the UK’s most prominent housing associations and organisations – from L&Q to Savills. Asha has helped over 1,000 first-time buyers onto the housing ladder throughout her career.
Asha is now applying her years of experience to running her own award winning consultancy, Inspire New Homes, which supports smaller housing associations and local authorities in transforming their sales and marketing strategies. Asha helps organisations to maximise profits and implement best practices, enabling them to reinvest in the cross-subsidy of affordable home delivery.

Camron Aref-Adib
Senior Economist, JRFCamron is a Senior Economist at JRF. Previously, he worked as an economist at the Resolution Foundation and head of office for a Member of Parliament. Prior to this, he worked in Nigeria’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment as an Overseas Development Institute fellow, focusing on the diversification of the Nigerian economy away from crude oil. Camron has served as a councillor in the London Borough of Camden, since being first elected in 2022, and as Cabinet Member for Finance and Cost of Living since 2024.

Matthias Barker
Policy Leader, National Housing FederationMatthias is the Policy Leader for finance at the National Housing Federation, having joined in 2024. His brief covers rent policy, the financial sustainability of the sector, and new investment models in affordable housing, as well as a range of other finance policy issues including coordinating the housing SORP. He previously worked in L&Q's strategic research team, where he led on policy development and research on behalf of both L&Q, and the G15, whilst L&Q were in the chair.

Rob Barnard
Intermediary Relationship Director, Pepper Money UKRob Barnard has over 30 years of knowledge and experience navigating successfully through the twists and turns of the UK Mortgage market. Rob has developed and executed sales and marketing strategies throughout his career to drive growth and maximise retention. In his role as Director of Intermediary Relationships, Rob is responsible for nurturing and developing key broker and distribution partners for Pepper Money.
Rob is passionate about mortgages but more importantly the people he works with within the industry. As a result, he is the host of The Specialist Podcast. A platform created to provide established and upcoming stars in the industry an opportunity to discuss everything mortgages and beyond.

Rebecca Brady
Partner, DevonshiresRebecca has an extremely wide and varied practice, accepting instructions from Local Authorities and Registered Providers on all aspects of leasehold and tenancy management.
Rebecca’s expertise in tenancy management includes possession claims, injunction applications, disrepair and housing conditions claims. Rebecca has successfully defended a number of disrepair claims at Trial, recovering the landlord’s legal costs from the tenant’s insurers. Rebecca has a particular interest in succession and unlawful occupation cases, including those involving trespassers.
Rebecca’s leasehold practice includes shared ownership matters, forfeiture, service charge disputes, section 20 consultation, and lease interpretation.
Rebecca also advises on general property litigation including boundary and easement disputes, adverse possession and nuisance claims.
Rebecca is part of the firm’s Inquests and Inquiries Team and regularly acts for Registered Providers where they are involved in coronial proceedings.

As External Affairs Manager for London, Bethan works closely with housing associations across the capital and is responsible for the NHFs offer for smaller housing associations. With significant programme management experience, Bethan is currently working across various specialisms at the NHF including supply and regeneration, building confidence and trust, the Better Social Housing Review, and community cohesion. Bethan also sits on the Advisory Board for the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge.

Georgia Burrows
National Housing Development Manager, Intermediaries, Lloyds Banking GroupGina Burrows National Housing Development Manager – Intermediaries at Lloyds Banking Group. She works closely with mortgage brokers, housing associations and developers to help unlock homeownership through affordable and new build housing. Gina has extensive experience in Shared Ownership and specialist affordable tenures, with a strong focus on improving broker journeys, increasing understanding of complex schemes and supporting customers at every stage of their homeownership journey. She is passionate about collaboration across the housing sector and plays an active role in shaping thought leadership and practical solutions that support sustainable access to homeownership.

Phillippa Cardno
Chief Executive, Newbury Building SocietyPhillippa joined Newbury Building Society in 1996. She joined the Executive team in 2007 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in February 2015. Phillippa was appointed Chief Executive in March 2022 and is responsible for the Society’s strategic development and providing leadership and direction throughout the Society and for setting and maintaining culture and standards. Phillippa has many years of credit risk and housing sector experience and is a specialist in Shared Ownership homeownership.
Phillippa also contributes to financial services nationally as a member of the UK Finance Mortgage Product and Service Board and is Chair of the Building Society Association’s Green Finance Taskforce.

Throughout her career working across the intermediary sector, Stephanie has been a passionate promoter of the need for, and value of, advice. I have worked within Homeownership for 21 years, starting my career as a Surveyor which gave me a great foundation to build upon. I never tire of the passion which comes from the sector.

He joined the NHF in 2024. Prior to this, he was a Graduate Trainee and later a People & Purpose Strategist at the John Lewis Partnership, owner of John Lewis and Waitrose. Adam is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Warwick and a Master’s in Business and Management from De Montfort University. Adam grew up in social housing and has lived experience as an involved resident and as a young carer.

Ed Hampson
Associate Director, Residential Research, SavillsEd is an Associate Director within the residential research team at Savills. He has eight years of experience of analysing and researching the housing and land markets within the UK.
Ed combines analysis of market, economic and demographic data with Savills market intelligence to provide data driven answers to key questions about the state of the residential property market. He specialises in macroeconomic analysis, market trends and development advice.

Abbie Harries
Head of Homeownership, LiveWestAbigail is Head of Homeownership at LiveWest, where she leads a dedicated team responsible for leasehold, freehold, and shared ownership customers, with a focus on transparency, customer experience, and continuous improvement. Her academic background sparked a strong interest in property law, which led her to begin her career in leasehold property management nearly 15 years ago. Abigail has held a similar role at Stonewater, covering all homeownership services, and worked as a Senior Adjudicator, resolving landlord and tenant disputes. She is an active member of the National Leasehold Group (NLG) and holds professional qualifications from The Property Institute (TPI) and the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).

Frances Haque
Chief UK Economist, SantanderFrances Haque is the Chief Economist for Santander UK responsible for the economic analysis and macroeconomic forecasts used by the retail bank. Her team are responsible for developing: the analysis of economic risk scenarios to support stress testing and IFRS9; analysis for planning and strategic purposes; supporting the external customer work of the bank speaking at events; and writing for external publications. She has also been appointed to the FCA’s CBA Panel.
Prior to joining she worked for various institutions including EY, BT, BBC, and Ofcom and specialises in Competition and Regulatory economics.
She has appeared on BBC, Sky, ITV, CNBC and Bloomberg News, and Radio programmes including Today, WUFM, LBC and Times Radio, providing commentary on published economic data and analysis.

Meadow O’Connor
Associate Solicitor, Trowers & HamlinsMeadow is an Associate Solicitor in Trowers' Manchester Property Dispute Resolution and Litigation team, working with private and public sector clients on a breadth of matters across leasehold and freehold land and property.
She regularly advises both landlords and tenants on leasehold matters from breach of covenant to residential service charges, including advice on the implications of the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated legislation. She has experience in both the courts and the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber).

Andy Smith
Head of Housing Impact Services, The Good EconomyAndy leads on housing and real estate at The Good Economy (TGE), working with clients to design impact measurement and management systems and deliver independent impact reports. Andy has developed the TGE Affordable Housing methodology and has created the standardised metrics that are now used across all TGE clients. He also led the development of the Sustainability Reporting Standard criteria – now being used by over 100 housing providers and lenders.
Andy joined The Good Economy from Social Finance, where he was the project manager of an innovative tech product that helped local authorities provide better support to young people leaving the care system. Also while at Social Finance, Andy worked on a range of additional strategy and business development projects.

Linda Storey
